Where Are the Tribes Located?

Overview

• The group has divided itself up into “Tribes” (regions of the world), which are then divided up into “Clans” (communities).

• The names of the various “Tribes” are based on the twelve tribes of Israel as listed in the Bible.¹

• The defined region of each “Tribe” has sometimes been adjusted over time. For example, the tribe of “Levi” used to be identified as the country of Germany, but is now identified as the Czech Republic.

• Likewise, new “Clans” have periodically opened and a significant number of them have closed (listed below).

• The Tribes’ international headquarters have moved from Chattanooga TN to Island Pond VT to Hiddenite NC.

• The Northeastern United States plays a major role in the early history of the Tribes and contains the highest number of Clans (communities). The Southeastern U.S. contains the next-highest number of clans.

Current Locations of the Twelve Tribes

Asher: Japan and Australiasia

Primary locations include Kyoto (Japan); Katoomba (New South Wales, Australia) and other Australia/Oceania locations.

Benyamin (Benjamin): Southeastern United States

Primary locations include Arcadia and Pine Island (Florida); Asheville and Hiddenite (North Carolina); Brunswick and Savannah (Georgia); Chattanooga and Pulaski (Tennessee); Hillsboro (Virginia); Mobile (Alabama).

Gad: Canada

Primary locations include Chilliwack, Courtenay, and Nelson (British Columbia); Kingston (Ontario); Winnipeg (Manitoba).

Issachar: Spanish-Speaking South America

Primary location is Buenos Aires area (Argentina).

Levi: Czech Republic

Primary locations include Mšecké Žehrovice, Skalná, and Prague.

Manasseh: Midwestern United States and Colorado

Primary locations include Overbrook and Lawrence (Kansas); Warsaw (Missouri); Boulder and Manitou Springs (Colorado).

Naphtali: Brazil

Primary locations include Campo Largo, General Carneiro, and Londrina (Paraná); Itapecerica da Serra (São Paulo).

Reuben: France and Romania

Primary locations include Sus (near Navarrenx, France) and Romania. Due to legal pushback, the Tribes moved most of their members (including all children) out of France.

Shimon (Simeon): Spain and North Africa

Primary locations include San Sebastián, Igeldo, and Corella; broader association extending into North Africa.

Yehudah (Judah): Northeastern United States

Primary locations include Island Pond, Bellows Falls/Basin Farm, and Rutland (Vermont); Hyannis, Plymouth, and Milton (Massachusetts); Coxsackie, Ithaca, Cambridge, and Oak Hill (New York); Lancaster (New Hampshire).

Yoceph (Joseph): Western United States

Primary locations include Valley Center and Vista (California); Raymond (Washington); Egegik (Alaska).

Zebulun: United Kingdom and Scandinavia

Primary locations include Stentwood Farm near Honiton/Dunkeswell (Devon, England); related UK and Scandinavian locations.

1. The Bible lists the original twelve Jewish tribes in multiple Old Testament passages. These consistently include the tribe of “Dan” (such as in Genesis 35:23–26, Genesis 49:1-28, and Numbers 1:5–15). However, the Twelve Tribes Communities uses the list of the Israelite tribes found in Revelation 7:4–8, which includes “Manasseh” instead of Dan. ↩
