What do the Tribes believe about salvation?

The Tribes believe they are worthy of being God’s special people…

…because they’ve made difficult psychological choices…

…like giving away all their possessions and letting the Tribes’ leadership have complete authority over them…

…which qualifies them to receive salvation…

…and which then also puts them in a category somewhat similar to Jesus Himself.

(from the Tribes’ perspective, becoming like Jesus is actually easier to accomplish than in Christianity, because the Tribes view Jesus as less Divine than Christianity does)

The overall effect is:

The uniqueness of the Savior is decreased (compared to biblical Christianity)
The requirements for gaining salvation is increased (compared to biblical Christianity)
The natural human nature of people is less fallen/sinful/helpless, and more capable of following God* (compared to biblical Christianity).

*To fulfill the requirements for salvation: fallen, unsaved people have the ability and responsibility to make significant changes to their own foundational choices & behavior (including giving up their desires, possessions, and self-will). This differs from Christianity, which does not believe that unsaved people are able (and often not even wanting) to accomplish major steps of biblical transformation (“sanctification”) prior to salvation.
